Adopae mourns the death of Carlos Batista Matos; highlights his legacy in cultural journalism

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Academy of Art and Entertainment Journalists (Adopae) deeply regrets the passing of veteran journalist, writer, and communicator Carlos Batista Matos, which occurred this Monday in Santo Domingo.

According to information provided by his family, Batista Matos was found dead in his apartment in the El Vergel sector, in the National District, where he resided. The news was confirmed by his youngest daughter.

Born on December 30, 1952, in Vicente Noble, Barahona province, Carlos Batista Matos developed an exemplary career, marked by his firm commitment to the dissemination of popular art and the strengthening of Dominican cultural identity.

Throughout his professional life, he moved through important spaces in communication, establishing himself as one of the most respected voices in the entertainment field. At the time of his death, he produced and hosted the program "With the Famous", broadcast on Color Visión, channel 9.
