Jarabacoa. – A regrettable accident that occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, May 2, on the road that connects Jarabacoa with La Vega resulted in two people losing their lives.
According to preliminary reports, the driver allegedly attempted to overtake another vehicle, at which point he lost control and crashed into a wall. Both he and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle, suffering serious injuries that caused them to lose their lives.
Emergency units immediately responded to the scene, including two ambulances, a rescue truck from the Buena Vista Fire Department, as well as agents from the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (DIGESETT), who were in charge of managing the situation.
The authorities have initiated the corresponding investigations to determine the exact circumstances in which this event occurred.
