PKG - WORLD DRACULA DAY

Every May 26th, World Dracula Day is commemorated, a date that pays homage to the publication of the iconic novel Dracula by the Irish writer Bram Stoker, released on May 26, 1897, a work that gave rise to one of the most influential characters in Gothic literature and horror cinema. The novel introduced the world to the legendary Count Dracula, a character based on European myths about vampires, who over time became a global cultural symbol, inspiring films, series, plays, comics, and video games. More than a century later, Dracula remains a mandatory reference within the horror genre, and its impact remains alive in popular culture, especially on dates close to Halloween and in celebrations dedicated to classic cinema and fantastic literature.

We recommend reading:‘The King of Kings’, a blockbuster biblical animation that arrives in cinemas alongside ‘Frontera’

This day is taken advantage of by horror fans to remember the legacy of the work and its influence on the creation of the modern vampire figure.
