Minister Ito Bisonó develops work agenda in Santiago and Santiago Rodríguez; supervises housing repairs in La Ceibita

The day included housing interventions, meetings with construction sector actors, and monitoring of infrastructure promoted by the MIVHED in both provinces. SANTIAGO. – The Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), Víctor –Ito– Bisonó, is carrying out a work agenda this weekend in the provinces of Santiago de los Caballeros and Santiago Rodríguez as part of the permanent follow-up to the works and projects carried out by the institution in different parts of the country. The day began in Santiago with a visit to the El Papayo sector of La Ceibita, in Barrio Pekín, where he supervised the work being carried out to restore tranquility to families in the community by repairing their homes and improving their living conditions. The interventions, carried out by the Rapid Action Brigades of the MIVHED, include roof, floor, and painting repairs, benefiting families in vulnerable conditions and responding to a request made by the neighborhood association of the sector.

Beneficiaries highlight the impact of the work

During the tour, Bisonó spoke with residents and beneficiaries of the intervention, including María Cruz, 80 years old, who highlighted the impact of the work carried out on her home, especially with the arrival of the rainy season. Meeting with APROCOVICI

As part of his agenda in Santiago, the minister also held a meeting with members of the Association of Promoters and Housing Builders of Cibao (APROCOVICI), where he presented the progress of the Permisology Modernization Plan being developed by MIVHED.

During the activity, he explained the improvements that are in progress to strengthen what will be the new Single Window for Construction, an initiative that seeks to simplify procedures, improve the user experience, and increase transparency in the management of permits. The official highlighted that this process is built on a national agenda of dialogue and active listening with developers, unions, and representatives of the construction sector, incorporating observations and recommendations that allow for the development of solutions aligned with the real needs of users. Follow-up on strategic projects in Santiago Rodríguez The agenda will continue this Saturday in Santiago Rodríguez, where the minister will make a follow-up visit to the extension of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), infrastructure that is about to be delivered. Subsequently, he will lead the ceremony for the laying of the first block for the construction of the Santiago Rodríguez Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR), a work that is part of the expansion and modernization plan of the penitentiary infrastructure promoted by the Dominican Government. With this work agenda, MIVHED continues to strengthen its presence in the territory through direct monitoring of housing projects, educational infrastructure, urban development and strategic equipment that impact the quality of life of communities.
