Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader led this Sunday the delivery of 1,600 property titles in La Romana, benefiting more than 10,000 people from the George and San Carlos sectors. This delivery is part of a total of 2,521 titles that will be completed soon.

During the event, Abinader highlighted that land titling is one of the policies that his government has given the most impetus, as it grants legal security and improves the value of properties. He called on the beneficiary families to use the titles responsibly: "Do not mortgage it if it is to spend money, use it to generate income."

The president indicated that with the current pace of work, more than 20 thousand titles could be delivered in La Romana alone, directly impacting the economic dynamism of the area. On behalf of the beneficiaries, Ysidro Mejía Cordero thanked the president for this delivery, which he considered "an act of justice for families who had been waiting for this document for decades." The title day was coordinated by the Technical Executive Unit for State Land Titling, with the support of National Assets, the CEA, the IAD and the Real Estate Jurisdiction, representing a collective saving of more than RD$203 million.

“This seawall will mark a before and after for Haina,” expressed Mayor Osvaldo Rodríguez, while Minister David Collado highlighted that this work was only possible due to the direct support of President Abinader.

Other initiatives for the municipality were also announced, such as the creation of an ecological park, a pedestrian bridge, a breakwater and the arrival of the cable car to Quita Sueño in 2027.
