Santo Domingo.- Agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (
DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry, arrested Daury Daniel Abreu Abreu (Papo) again, during a joint surveillance and interdiction operation, carried out in the municipality of Jarabacoa, province of La Vega.
Alias Papo, son of the micro-trafficker, Daniel Abreu, who is serving pre-trial detention for drug trafficking, was captured by agents and prosecutors on the Belarminio Ramírez highway, near a bank, in the Barrio Blanco sector, who were following his micro-trafficking operations of narcotic substances.
"At the time of the intervention, the now-detained person tried to escape the pursuit of the acting teams without achieving his objective," states the press release from the anti-drug agency.
During the interdiction, a plastic Ziploc bag containing 64 portions of alleged cocaine, weighing approximately 66.4 grams, was seized from him, hidden inside his boxer shorts. In addition, the sum of RD$6,900.00 Dominican pesos, a Redmi cell phone, and a green Gacela motorcycle without a visible license plate were seized from his front pants pocket.
Daury Daniel Abreu had been arrested in April of this year on the main street, Medina sector, of the municipality of Jarabacoa, with dozens of portions of cocaine and marijuana. At that time, economic guarantee and periodic presentation were imposed as a measure of coercion.
