"I'm super excited, super happy to return to this runway, one of the most important in fashion, with Giannina Azar, who is a woman I love very much and appreciate because she has always been there to support me. For me it is more than an honor to be here, not only representing the Latin community, the Latin woman, but also the Dominican woman," she expressed. Regarding the possibility of competing again in beauty pageants, after participating in the past edition of Miss Universe 2025 where she managed to position herself in the Top 30, representing the Latin community in the United States for the first time in the pageant and having participated in Miss Dominican Republic Universe on two occasions, Yamilex made it clear that, although her followers ask her to return, it is not a priority for now. The model stated that she wants to focus on her professional and personal growth, exploring new opportunities outside the world of pageants. However, she did not rule out the possibility of competing again in the future.

“I know they want to keep seeing me in the ‘cocoró’, as we say in the Dominican Republic, but for now I'm focused on other things in my life. I want to keep growing both in my career and professionally and personally. There are many little things I have pending, so don't be anxious and give yourselves the opportunity to see me explore other things that are not contests,” she commented.

Finally, Yamilex highlighted the bonds of friendship and brotherhood that unite her with Giannina Azar. She assured that the designer has been one of the first people to support her since her beginnings, creating a very special bond between the two. “It will always be something very special, because I have a lot of affection for Giannina. She has always been one of the first people who has supported me since my beginnings and it is always very nice to coincide with her and show and highlight her talent,” he concluded.
