COE eleva a alerta verde a seis provincias por incidencia de vaguada

Santo Domingo. — El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) elevó este jueves el nivel de alerta verde para cinco provincias y el Distrito Nacional, debido a condiciones atmosféricas inestables provocadas por una vaguada que incide sobre el territorio nacional

De acuerdo con el INDOMET, las imágenes satelitales y los radares meteorológicos muestran incrementos nubosos significativos, acompañados de aguaceros de moderados a fuertes en ocasiones, tormentas eléctricas aisladas y ráfagas de viento.

Las zonas bajo alerta verde son: Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega y San José de Ocoa.

Ante esta situación, el COE exhortó a la población a abstenerse de cruzar ríos, arroyos y cañadas que presenten altos volúmenes de agua, así como evitar el uso de balnearios en las zonas bajo alerta, a fin de prevenir incidentes.

En cuanto a las condiciones marítimas, las autoridades indicaron que en la costa Atlántica, desde el este de Isla Saona hasta Monte Cristi, se recomienda a los operadores de embarcaciones frágiles, pequeñas y medianas permanecer en puerto, debido a vientos moderados a fuertes y oleaje peligroso. Mientras tanto, en la costa caribeña las condiciones se mantienen sin restricciones.

Las autoridades continúan monitoreando la evolución del sistema atmosférico e instan a la ciudadanía a mantenerse atenta a los boletines oficiales.
