BHD informs that applications for “Women Changing the World” close on May 31st

Santo Domingo.- Banco BHD informed that the call for applications for the eleventh edition of the Women Who Change the World Award is open until Sunday, May 31, 2026. Women Who Change the World is the main award in the Dominican Republic dedicated to recognizing and supporting women whose work generates a transcendent contribution to the well-being of people, the development of their communities and the country.  The financial entity indicates that women aged 25 and over can participate, Dominican residents in the country or abroad, as well as foreigners with at least 10 years of legal residence in the Dominican Republic, whose initiatives have a minimum of two years of proven results. Through this award, Banco BHD recognizes women for their contributions in areas such as social action, education, health, science, art and culture, entrepreneurship, and the environment, with trajectories that transform lives and provide solutions to important social challenges.

As of today, more than one hundred women have been recognized within this platform for strengthening the female contribution to society. The selected ones receive a support program directly in their communities that contributes to expanding the reach and sustainability of their projects. Applications can be made through the portal www.mujeresquecambianelmundo.com.do or at any of the Banco BHD branches at a national level, channels through which nominations can also be submitted.
