Environment Minister says waste plant in La Cuaba will not affect rivers or the community

Santo Domingo,-The Minister of Environment, Paíno Henríquez, explained that the waste valorization plant to be installed in La Cuaba, Pedro Brand, will not affect the area's aquifers or the community. "There is no danger to those waters, it fully complies with all protocols," said Henríquez when questioned about the complaints of possible contamination by community members. He also explained that this plant is independent of the provisions of the new Waste Law, and that this classification will be carried out as is already done in other countries around the world and in the country itself.
