Santo Domingo. – The Institute of Aid (INAVI) signed the Strategic Commitment to Integrity and Prevention of Administrative Corruption, an initiative aimed at high-level officials promoted by the General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG), with the aim of strengthening transparency mechanisms in public management.
The signing of the agreement commits the entity and its general administrator, Doctor Elsido Díaz Bueno, to implement actions aimed at strengthening internal controls, administrative efficiency, and accountability.
During the event, Díaz Bueno stated that the main focus of the commitment lies in the strengthening of institutional controls as a basis for ensuring transparent management.
"The first pillar is the strengthening of internal controls, because that is where ethical and transparent action is sustained," said the official, while emphasizing that the results should be the main indicator of compliance.
The INAVI head also highlighted that the institution prioritizes the provision of quality services, especially aimed at the most vulnerable sectors, which he defined as an essential component of the public function.
In the activity, representatives from DIGEIG participated, including Lic. Cleopatra Tavares, representing its general director, Dr. Milagros Ortiz Bosch, as well as Carlos Rosado, director of the Ethics and Integrity Department.
The agreement was also signed by the members of the INAVI Board of Directors, headed by its president, licenciado José Ventura, along with those responsible for different administrative areas.
According to reports, since June of last year, the institution has developed training sessions aimed at its staff, focused on promoting ethical values and preventing corrupt practices in public administration.
The initiative is part of a national strategy promoted by DIGEIG to consolidate a culture of integrity, strengthen citizen trust, and improve the quality of state services.
