The Italian tennis team pocketed two million dollars this Sunday as Davis Cup champions; while the Spanish team, runners-up, secured one and a half million.
For being in the Final 8, each of the eight participants pocketed half a million dollars.
Those who advanced and were eliminated in the quarterfinals, i.e., Germany and Belgium, earned $750,000.

Spain, as runner-up, added twice as much as the finalists, a total of one and a half million dollars. Italy, as champion, two million.
Spain fell in the grand final in Bologna against Italy (2-0), after the victories of Matteo Berrettini against Pablo Carreño and Flavio Cobolli against Jaume Munar.
Italy, champions without needing to play doubles in any match, lifted their third consecutive 'Salad Bowl' and the fourth in their history, without Jannik Sinner or Lorenzo Musetti, their two best assets.
