Miss Dominican Republic prepares for its 70th anniversary and opens casting 2026

Santo Domingo. - The organization Miss Dominican Republic Universe announced the formal opening of the casting process corresponding to the celebration of its 70th edition, with the aim of selecting the young woman who will represent the country in Miss Universe 2026, to be held in Puerto Rico; in addition to other international contests. This anniversary marks a milestone in the history of the national contest, which for seven decades has served as a platform to project talent, leadership, and cultural representation both inside and outside the country. The call is made after the outstanding participation of Jennifer Ventura, Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2026, whose international performance reaffirmed the organization's commitment to elevate the Dominican presence on the global beauty stages. Now begins the search for a candidate with the capabilities, discipline, and projection necessary to continue that legacy.

Requirements for applicants
Interested parties must meet the following essential criteria:
  • Be of Dominican nationality.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Show interest or experience in social causes or community projects.
  • Possess general knowledge of tourism, culture, and national attractions.
  • No prior experience in beauty pageants is required.
A comprehensive training program
The shortlisted candidates will receive professional training in key areas such as runway, public speaking and effective communication, makeup and self-makeup, etiquette and international protocol, strategic management of social networks, nutrition and wellness, stage presence, as well as styling and personal image. This program seeks to enhance the security, leadership, and international projection of each candidate.
