Santo Domingo. – Communicator Nahiony Reyes referred to the media attacks and negative campaigns that, according to her explanation, she has faced due to her role as the wife of political leader Abel Martínez, stating that she has chosen to handle them with "prayer and silence."
During an interview on the program Versión Original, hosted by Moises Salce and broadcast by Telemicro, Reyes maintained that this type of situation is part of the political environment, especially when a public figure experiences growth and visibility.
"It's normal that when a figure is on the rise, eyes turn towards them, and with that, negative campaigns also arise," he expressed.
The presenter also indicated that, although she understands that citizens demand transparency from public officials, in many cases unfair generalizations are generated that end up affecting people who, she claims, act correctly.

In that sense, he defended Martínez's career, highlighting his "responsible and transparent" management in the public functions he has held. Reyes explained that, faced with the accusations and rumors, his family has decided to maintain a prudent stance, focused on faith and discretion. "We handle it like a family, with a lot of prayer and a lot of silence. In the midst of the noise it is difficult to hear, that's why we prefer to act from calm," she pointed out. He also described as "regrettable" the use of campaigns based on false information within the political arena, considering that this promotes unfair competition. "Politicians should be confronted with arguments, not invented stories," he concluded.
