In pronouncing the opening words, Cruz Rodríguez highlighted that innovation is the way to transform challenges into opportunities and consolidate the national industry as the axis of growth. "Industry is homeland in motion, pride in what we are and promise of what we can become," he expressed, while congratulating the industries and entities recognized for being protagonists of change.
For his part, the Minister of Labor, Eddy Olivares, highlighted that the dependency he directs this initiative, which not only celebrates the ingenuity and vision of our companies, but also "contributes inestimably to laying the foundations for a more promising and equitable labor future in the Dominican Republic."This third version of the award was attended by important government authorities such as the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, as well as vice ministers, general directors, the senator for the province of La Vega, Ramón Rogelio Genao, members of the Proindustria Council, as well as representatives of the business sector, free zones and media.
Within the framework of the ceremony, special distinctions were awarded to the Free Zones administered by Proindustria, valued as hubs of dynamism and growth that drive job creation and the attraction of foreign investment. Among the recognized industries are Sakira Manufacturing (La Vega), Oliver & Oliver (Hato Nuevo), Industrias Nigua (Santo Domingo), Garmy Sports Products (Moca), Industria Militar Dominicana (Bonao), Grupo Expertix (San Cristóbal), Yazoo Investments, SRL (San Pedro de Macorís) and The Will Bes Dominicana (Barahona). Likewise, banking entities such as Banco BHD, Banco de Reservas, and Banco Popular were recognized for their strategic role in financing and modernizing the industrial sector. The award for academic innovation went to the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), for its outstanding work in applied research and connection with the productive sector. In the Product Innovation category, 3D Printers Supply by Gómez y Cedano S.R.L. was awarded as a micro-enterprise; CGM Industrial S.R.L. in small enterprise; Camilo Labs S.R.L. as a medium-sized company and Nestlé Dominicana S.A. in the classification of large companies. In Marketing Innovation, Lulú For Pets was recognized in the micro-enterprise category; LY Company Caribe S.R.L. in the small business category; Inversiones Bastilla del Caribe (IBC Shipyard) as a medium-sized company, and Resonance Manufacturing LTD along with Cervecería Nacional Dominicana in the large company category. In the Innovation in Process category, 3D Printers Supply by Gómez y Cedano S.R.L. was recognized as a micro-enterprise, CGM Industrial S.R.L. in small enterprise, Camilo Labs, S.R.L. in medium enterprise and Consorcio Minero Dominicano in the large enterprise category. All of them stood out for implementing significant improvements in their production methods and operational management, achieving greater efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness, becoming benchmarks of modernization within the national manufacturing sector. While the micro-industry Licorera y Artesanías “Los del Búho” was distinguished in Excellence in Industrial Innovation; Mecaproject Proyectos Mecatrónicos in small business; Yazoo Investments in medium-sized business, and the large companies RK Power Generator Corp. and Cementos Argos Dominicana. The gala held in the Malecón Terrace Hall of the Sheraton Hotel concluded with a total of 23 award winners.
