Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (INDOMET) forecast some rain for the morning and afternoon of this Thursday, due to a southeast wind that will bring some humidity from the Caribbean Sea, along with a weak trough and will affect provinces such as La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Barahona and Pedernales. In the afternoon, these showers will extend to locations such as El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Santiago, among others. For the night, isolated rains are expected in points of the north and southeast, including Puerto Plata, Valverde, Santo Domingo and La Romana. Tomorrow, Friday, from dawn and morning hours, an increase in humidity and instability is expected over the country, due to a trough associated with a frontal system that will be located over the central portion of the national territory. As a result, cloudy skies with showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts are expected in provinces of the Caribbean coast. During the afternoon and into the early hours of the night, these precipitations could become moderate to heavy in isolated points, towards provinces such as La Altagracia, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Santo Domingo, Sánchez Ramírez, Santiago, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, Valverde, Azua and San Juan, among others.

Temperatures will experience a slight increase during the day, due to the southeast wind blowing from the Caribbean Sea. However, at night and early morning they will remain pleasant, typical of the time of year, mainly in mountainous areas and inland valleys. In addition, there is the possibility of fogs or mists during the early morning hours in mountainous areas and some inland valleys of the country. National District: Slight cloud cover increases with local showers from morning hours and the afternoon.
