RD will have the first BDSM Films of the country in May 2026

The festival, exclusive to those over 18 years of age, will offer unique screenings, educational panels, and a 360º experience focused on positive conversation. Santo Domingo.– For the first time in the country's history, the world of BDSM moves to the big screen with the launch of the BDSM Film Fest, a cultural event that seeks to change the narrative about this practice, moving it away from morbid curiosity and bringing it closer to art, psychology, and communication. The festival will take place on May 23 and 24, 2026 in Santo Domingo. The Film Fest is not just a film exhibition. Its main mission is to demystify the narrative and confront social prejudices.

"For a long time, the conversation has been in the shadows. Our goal is to use cinema as a portal to show the reality of BDSM: a practice based on deep trust and, above all, absolute and explicit consent," stated Mr. Parker, director of the Dominican BDSM Conclave Community and coordinator of the festival.
