Santo Domingo will host the first International Festival of Performing Arts (FESTAE 2026)

Santo Domingo, DR. – The Dominican Republic will become for the first time the epicenter of international performing arts with the celebration of the International Festival of Performing Arts (FESTAE 2026), which will take place from May 15 to 19 with a varied program that integrates theater, music, and dance. For five days, the Dominican capital will vibrate with contemporary proposals that connect cultures, perspectives, and scenic languages, bringing together creators from Colombia, Argentina, Equatorial Guinea, and France, in addition to local talent, on the same stage. The festival was presented at a press conference by its director, the producer and actor Fausto Rojas, who highlighted that this first edition marks a milestone for the development of the performing arts in the country.

"The Dominican Republic becomes the cultural epicenter of the Caribbean, projecting the country as a reference destination for the performing arts," Rojas expressed.
