Three dead in a new US attack against a vessel in the Pacific

Washington.- U.S. announced this Tuesday the destruction of a new boat allegedly associated with drug trafficking structures in international waters of the Pacific and assured that the three crew members of the vessel died in the attack.

The operation was announced by the Southern Command through its official X account and assured that it had killed three alleged "narcoterrorists" who were on the boat. According to the U.S. armed forces, this attack is part of the 'Southern Spear' operation and is the second announced operation in the last 24 hours. The first occurred in the Caribbean, where two other people lost their lives.

The U.S. launched its military campaign on international waters, near Venezuela and Colombia, with the primary objective of increasing tension around the former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, captured in a Washington military operation on January 3rd. With the attack reported today, there have already been more than 50 bombings against boats allegedly linked to drug trafficking in the Pacific and the south of the Caribbean, summary attacks that have left more than 150 dead since September 2025.
