Santo Domingo.– Danilo Medina and the American diplomat discussed topics of common interest related to the national reality and democratic institutions.
The former president of the Republic, Danilo Medina, held a meeting this Wednesday afternoon with the United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Francis Campos, in which they exchanged impressions on the situation of the country and the strengthening of democracy.
The ambassador attended accompanied by a delegation from the diplomatic headquarters to hold a dialogue with the former president.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Office of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), located in the University Zone, where Medina received the ambassador in an atmosphere of dialogue and cordiality.

The diplomat was accompanied by the embassy's Political and Economic Attaché, Ali Nadir.
The PLD's Secretary General, Johnny Pujols, accompanied former President Medina in the exchange held in the office of the PLD president.
At the end of the dialogue and the visit, lasting approximately two hours, an exchange of gifts took place. On behalf of the PLD, Ambassador Leah Francis Campos was presented with a collection of the Complete Works of Professor Juan Bosch, historical leader of the PLD.
The meeting is part of the efforts to strengthen relations and dialogue between national political actors and the diplomatic representation of the United States accredited in the country.
