The Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, landed this Tuesday in Tel Aviv to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire agreement signed by Israel and Hamas on October 10, sources from the US Embassy in Jerusalem confirmed to EFE.
The leader's visit, the first to the country since his appointment, will last two days, during which he is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.
The Times of Israel newspaper noted that it is expected to be directed to the US headquarters established in southern Israel to oversee the implementation of the agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Vance is in Israel as part of US efforts to reinforce the truce in Gaza, amid speculation in the American press about alleged concern in the White House that Netanyahu will violate the ceasefire and resume the war against Hamas.
Your visit coincides with that of the special envoy of the White House for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of the American president, Donald Trump, who arrived in the country yesterday, Monday.
