Rio de Janeiro. – A security worker died this Sunday after an accident that occurred during the preparations of the stage where the singer Shakira will perform on Copacabana beach, in a mega-concert scheduled for next Saturday.
The victim was identified as a 28-year-old security technician, who was part of the team in charge of assembling the event structure.
According to official information, the accident occurred when part of a structure used in the stage installation collapsed, causing the fatal incident in the work area.
Reports from the authorities indicate that the worker suffered serious injuries after being trapped in a lifting system used in the assembly work.

Other employees who were at the scene indicated that the collapse of the structure caused the crushing of his lower extremities, which caused his death at the scene or shortly after the event.
The Fire Department and the Military Police went to the scene to assist with the emergency and conduct the corresponding investigations into the conditions in which the workplace accident occurred.
The case has raised concerns about security measures during the setup of large-scale events, while preparations continue for the massive concert in the Brazilian city.
