Storm Dalila causes torrential rains and strong waves in the Mexican Pacific

Mexico.- Tropical storm Dalila continues its advance over the Mexican Pacific, generating heavy to torrential rains, strong winds and high waves in at least five states in the west of the country, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN). In its most recent report, the SMN located the center of the phenomenon 220 kilometers south-southwest of Manzanillo and maintains sustained winds of 100 km/h.

The circulation of this storm, the second named cyclone of the 2025 season in the Pacific, is generating torrential rains in Michoacán, intense in Jalisco, Colima and Guerrero, and very heavy in Nayarit, with accumulations that could reach up to 250 millimeters in some regions, according to an alert from the National Water Commission (Conagua). Mexican authorities remain on alert regarding Dalila's evolution and the potential impact of new cyclones in the coming weeks.
