More than 40 people have signed compensation agreements for Jet Set tragedy

Santo Domingo.– The Espaillat family issued a statement informing that more than 40 economic compensation and human support agreements have been signed with victims and relatives of those who died in the collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub, a tragedy that left 236 dead and 180 injured. According to a statement issued by siblings Antonio and Maribel Espaillat, owners of the establishment through the company Inversiones E y L, S.R.L., the agreements were made "without any publicity or conditioning", and were legalized before a notary. The compensations include financial reparations, legal support, and emotional assistance.

The documents also detail that the agreements were signed between May 2 and June 12 of this year, in a gesture that the brothers describe as part of a "solidarity conduct", having anticipated the outcome of the judicial investigations. In the statement, the accused indicated that their defense has made public the budgets deposited within the framework of the process, as proof of the commitment made to those affected.

Victims who have signed agreements:

Among the signatories of the agreements are injured individuals, family members of fatalities, and musicians who were affected. Some of the names mentioned are Simeón Mueses, Yira Hernández Martínez, Epifania López Sánchez, Aura Rosario Soriano, Winelys Medina Marte, and Ronny Darinel Taveras Minaya. Also appearing are Kelvin Sterling Peralta Delgado, Luz María Divina Peralta Delgado, Miguel Antonio Brito, Kirssy Guillermina Pérez Cruz de Álvarez and Ramón de Jesús Álvarez Guerrero. Other beneficiaries include Johanna Franceli Pérez Hernández, Luis Alberto Saavedra Alvarado, Luis Javier Saavedra Martín, Yanitza Carolina Marín de Saavedra, Fredzaid del Carmen Tovar Santana, Jhoana García Reyes, Rosa Irania García Reyes, Neury Elizabeth Lora Morel and Francisca Mariñez Rosario. Also, Elpidio Marilez Ramírez, Jhonelyn Manuel Mariñez Mojica, Jianny Cesarina Mariñez Mojina, Juana Francisca Mojica, Ángel Alberto Franco Fuentes, Aníbal Arodi Albuerme Rosa, Deivis Alberti Antigua Paulino, Esdras Hernández Segura and Carlos Ubiera Payano are listed. The list continues with Jordy Ramírez Matos, Juan Luis Gómez Espinal, Junior Radhaméz Sánchez Pérez, Manuel de Jesús Tatis, Martín José Encarnación Pineda, Misael Abreu Cruz, Máximo Leonardo Núñez Díaz, Raúl Andrés Castro Valerio, Teosaris Miguel Báez Polanco, Teófilo Blas Dimil Reyes Céspedes, Félix Fernando Soto Rodríguez and Zulinka Yadhira Pérez Lizardo. The agreements contemplate the waiver of legal liability in exchange for compensation for physical and psychological damages and medical expenses arising from the fateful event.
