ITLA announces call for 100 scholarships for high-demand technology careers

Santo Domingo. – With the commitment to continue promoting quality technological training in the country, the Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (ITLA) announced the opening of the new call to apply for 100 scholarships in its 16 technological careers, with a special focus on those with high projection in the labor market. The initiative is part of the ITLA Scholarships program, and the call will be open from July 1st to July 31st, 2025. "From ITLA, within the framework of our 25th anniversary and in line with President Luis Abinader's vision of democratizing and expanding access to quality technological education, we continue to reaffirm our commitment to bring more training opportunities to Dominican youth," said Mtro. Rafael Félix García, rector of ITLA. "We urge the student community to take advantage of this call and prepare to meet the current and future demands of the labor market," emphasized the rector of ITLA, Mtro. Félix Garcia. Those interested can apply to a wide academic offer, highlighting six key careers for their impact on innovation, sustainability and industries:

* Automated Manufacturing

* Telecommunications

* Medical Device Manufacturing * Renewable Energy * Industrial Design

* Sound

In addition, ITLA offers other technological careers such as Computer Security, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, Multimedia, Mechatronics, Analytics and Data Science, Interactive Simulations and Video Games, Cybersecurity, Forensic Informatics and Information Networks. Scholarship categories available The scholarships will be awarded through six modalities: Academic Excellence, for students with outstanding averages in high school; Social Scholarship, aimed at young people in conditions of economic vulnerability; Women in ICT, to encourage female participation in technological areas; Sports and Cultural Talent, supports students with high performance in sports or art; Futuro Boca Chica, exclusive for residents or graduates of secondary school in that municipality; and Scholarships for Assistants and Monitors, for active students who collaborate at ITLA. Interested parties must enter the official portal https://becas.itla.edu.do/becas, complete the form and upload the required documents, which include academic certificates and letters of recommendation, before July 31, 2025.
