Who is Maria Farmer, whose testimony could link Trump to the Epstein files?

Artist María Farmer, one of Jeffrey Epstein's accusers, has linked Donald Trump to the deceased sex predator. Her account is one of the "clearest indications yet" linking the American president to the files of the case that the authorities have not yet made public, reports The New York Times. According to the testimony, Farmer worked between 1995 and 1996 for the financier, initially to acquire works of art on his behalf, but then ended up supervising the entry and exit of minors, young women, and celebrities at the main entrance of the businessman's house in New York. The artist asserted that on one occasion Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, the magnate's ex-partner and accomplice, groped her violently after her boss asked her for a foot massage.

"She is not here for you"

On the other hand, the alleged encounter with Trump would have occurred one night when Epstein unexpectedly called her to his offices in a luxury building in Manhattan and she arrived in shorts. When she arrived at the place, the future president looked at her attentively and the woman remembered having felt fear at the situation. Moments later, the financier entered the room and said to Trump: "No, no. She is not here for you". The sexual assault complaint was filed in 1996 with the New York City Police Department and then with the FBI. At that time, the complainant urged a deeper examination of those close to the financier, including Trump. Her request was reaffirmed when the FBI re-interviewed her about the case in 2006. "His account is one of the clearest indications so far of how Trump may have come to be named in the unpublished investigation files of the Epstein case," the newspaper points out.

The White House Version

For his part, the U.S. Administration dismissed Farmer's account and recalled the decision previously made by the Republican leader to end his relationship with Epstein. "The president was never in his office," said Steven Cheung, White House communications director, on Friday. "The truth is that the president kicked him out of his club for being a scoundrel," he added.
  • At the beginning of his second term, Trump promised to declassify key documents from the Epstein case, but the first disclosures only included information already known to the public.
  • Since then, the voices calling for the publication of all the files have not ceased.
  • In addition, Trump maintains a very active battle against the media that publish more information about him and Epstein every day.
