New York.- United States President Donald Trump indicated this Sunday that several countries, the majority unrelated to the conflict in the Middle East, have asked for help to free their vessels from the Strait of Hormuz and that he has given orders to help them leave starting Monday, while "very positive conversations with Iran" are advancing.
The above is the only comment Trump made about the conversations and the first time he has spoken in those terms about the telephone negotiations that his representatives are holding with Iran, after having received a third peace offer, which the president had said did not please him.
"I have instructed my representatives to inform them that we will do everything possible to ensure that their ships and crews leave the strait safely. In all cases, they have stated that they will not return until the area is safe for navigation," the Head of State affirmed on his social network Truth.
Trump did not identify any of the countries that have requested the aid, stating that they are "from all over the world" and added that the ships are being held for a matter that is completely unrelated to them.

“They are just neutral and innocent spectators,” added the Republican leader about the war initiated against Iran on February 28 by his country and Israel, which has affected passage through the Strait of Hormuz, where there is a blockade decreed by the Islamic nation and attacks on ships have been recorded.
"For the good of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we have assured these countries that we will guide their ships out of these restricted maritime routes, so they can continue their activities freely," he stated.
The opening of the Strait of Hormuz is a key element in the negotiations. In his message, Trump stated that the relocation of ships from countries that have requested help from the U.S. has the sole objective of "liberating people, companies, and countries that have not committed any crime; they are victims of circumstances. This is a humanitarian gesture by the United States, the countries of the Middle East, and, in particular, Iran." The US president highlighted that many of these ships lack food and everything necessary for their numerous crews to remain on board in adequate sanitary conditions. If, in any way, this humanitarian process is interfered with, unfortunately, such interference will have to be dealt with firmly," Trump warned.

According to Trump, this process, which he has called "Project Liberty," will begin on the morning of this Monday, Middle East time. «I am fully aware that my representatives are having very positive conversations with Iran, and that these conversations could have a very positive outcome for everyone», assured the president, who on Saturday had said that he would review the peace offer that Iran had sent him, although he anticipated that “I cannot imagine it being acceptable”. For its part, Iran confirmed this Sunday that it received through Pakistan the response from the United States regarding the fourteen-point proposal to end the war and assured that it is analyzing the content before issuing an official response. The opening of the Strait of Hormuz is a key element in the negotiations.
