Santo Domingo. – The president of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (AERODOM), Mónica Infante Henríquez, highlighted this Wednesday that the incorporation of Amazon Air into operations at Las Américas International Airport represents a significant boost to the Dominican Republic's capacity to receive and export cargo.
Infante Henríquez valued that the operation of seven weekly flights of Amazon's cargo airline not only increases connectivity with the United States, but also places the country in a strategic position within the region.
"This flight signifies a significant increase in the capacity to move cargo to and from the Dominican Republic, which benefits both the export sector and the reception of goods to supply the local market," highlighted the executive.
The president of Aerodom indicated that this step strengthens the country's role as a logistics hub in the Caribbean and reaffirms the commitment to diversify the air transport services offered by the José Francisco Peña Gómez terminal.
