Karol G fills the NFL halftime with Latin rhythm in São Paulo

São Paulo.- Colombian singer Karol G filled the halftime of the NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers in the city of São Paulo with Latin flavor. The referee blew the whistle for halftime, the lights at Arena Corinthians went out and, after a few minutes, a spotlight illuminated a yellow flower in the center of the playing field, from which the artist appeared dressed in gold and wearing a cute top with pineapples. The Colombian took advantage of her debut in the NFL halftime shows to promote her latest album, 'Tropicoqueta', which she released last June. The first verses of the song 'Bandida Entrenada' sounded, which is in Portuguese and combines reggaeton with funk, in a nod to the Brazilian public.

She continued with one of her great hits 'Si antes te hubiera conocido', which reached number 1 on various charts worldwide, and with 'Un Gatito Me Llamó', a song in which a fireworks display was deployed from outside the stadium, which was then repeated at the end of the show. The cold and discreet drizzle of the São Paulo night did not seem to bother the Colombian, who danced a carnival samba with a smile alongside a large group of dancers, all in yellow costumes and waving golden pom-poms. The brief show closed with some of its dancers dressed as flowers, alluding to the aesthetic of their latest album, which mixes reggaeton, merengue, bachata, cumbia, vallenato, and mariachi. He greeted the full stadium and disappeared into a cloud of smoke, which remained over the playing field until the match restarted. Karol G made the audience that attended the exciting NFL duel dance, the second one held in a South American city. São Paulo, the most populous city in Brazil, hosts this match of week 1 of the 2025 season of the professional American football league, which is gaining popularity in the country.
