More Colombians travel to DR while Dominicans go to Colombia

The arrival of Colombian travelers by air to the Dominican Republic is growing steadily year after year since 2023, while in Quisqueya it has become fashionable to travel to Colombia.

By September 2025, 305,327 Colombians have arrived in the country, more than the 264,868 who arrived in 2024 by the same date and more than the 244,701 who arrived in the same period in 2023.

That growth occurs while more and more Dominicans choose to travel to Colombia.

According to figures from ProColombia in 2024, some 133,619 Dominicans visited Colombia, a figure that represents a 15.40% increase compared to 2023.

From January to July 2025, it is estimated that 75,395 Dominicans have already visited Colombia.

These figures indicate that both countries have a significant exchange of visitors, taking into account that Colombia is a nation of 52.89 million inhabitants, while the Dominican Republic has about 11 million.

In total, the Dominican Republic received more than 8,592,694 visitors in the first 9 months of this year.

The issuing countries that contributed the most visitors were the United States with 38%, Colombia with 10%, Canada with 8%, Argentina 7% and Mexico, Puerto Rico and England with 1%.
