Santiago. - The 48-hour work stoppage called by popular organizations in the municipality of Villa Bisonó (Navarrete), in the province of Santiago, is partially observed this Monday, with the closure of businesses and the suspension of classes in educational centers, while public transport operates in a limited way towards the towns of the Northwest Line. From early hours, military and police officers were deployed in different parts of the municipality to prevent clashes, although in some streets the throwing of debris and obstacles on the roads was reported. The protest day was called by the Popular Front of Navarrete (FPN 24 de Abril) and the Struggle Front June 14 (1J4), demanding solutions to the shortage of drinking water, the completion of the Beco canal and the reduction of the prolonged power outages affecting the community.
