Chinese companies affected by the closure will present a structural vulnerability study to the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), where the real conditions of the physical structures where their businesses operate are evidenced and the state entity committed to respond within three days to the report presented.

Once the results of the same are available, and if it is evident that there is no fault that represents a danger to its operation, then the opening of the commercial establishments will proceed.

In addition, any minimal failure that can be determined will be immediately corrected within the agreed deadlines after the report. "Mivhed committed to reviewing those studies within three business days and giving us a response, and if everything is as we expect it to be, that there is no apparent, evident, and gross vulnerability, we understand that the Chinese stores have to be reopened very soon, regardless of the fact that we are going to continue in the process of formalization and regularization until obtaining any requirement, request that the Ministry of Housing requires", he said.

Those are part of the agreements that emerged during the meeting held this Monday between the representatives of the Chinese companies and their lawyer Salvador Catrain, with the Minister of Mivhed, engineer Carlos Bonilla, vice ministers and technicians of the state institution, held at the Ministry headquarters.

The dialogue process remained open this Sunday, after the legal representatives of two of the Chinese companies affected by the irregular closure, having suspended a press conference to fix their position on the closure, which affects thousands of workers.

"If the report demonstrates and shows that the structure of the stores does not present a gross, apparent, evident vulnerability, it will be opened," said lawyer Catrain.

We inform the country as we had committed to announce with pleasure to the public that we held this Monday's meeting at the Ministry of Housing.

It was a deferential meeting, where cordiality, dialogue, and the need to find an alternative solution to the conflict with the closed Chinese companies prevailed. "We feel satisfied."

The Mived set as its number one priority to take care of people and that it cares about the safety of people and understands that we, as those affected by the closure, have to present ourselves to the authorities

If that is the result of the vulnerability studies, I understand that with today's meeting we have reached some kind of agreement with Mived that will allow the opening of the stores, regardless of whether the study shows the need to correct some things.

He said that the need to correct some things does not mean that there is an evident or apparent vulnerability. Regarding the businesses we represent, we understand that this same week we will be presenting the vulnerability study to the Mived.

During the meeting, both parties agreed on the importance of guaranteeing citizen security and compliance with current regulations.

The MIVHED insisted on its commitment to the protection of life and the well-being of the population, highlighting the need for establishments to have a vulnerability study prior to their opening.

Since the day of closure, the Chinese stores, individually, have hired their respective structural engineers for the elaboration of said studies. These reports will allow to evaluate the conditions of the buildings and, in cases where structural failures are not identified, proceed to the opening of the establishments while the necessary technical recommendations are implemented.

The meeting was positively evaluated by both parties, marking an important step towards the opening of Chinese stores, within a framework of security, responsibility, and institutional cooperation.
