Ross, 62, suffers from prostate cancer with metastasis that has spread to lungs and bones
Santo Domingo.- The communicator Pablo Ross, who is serving a prison sentence after being found guilty of incest against his underage stepdaughter in 2019, requested parole after having served seven years of a 10-year sentence, arguing that he suffers from prostate cancer with metastasis in both lungs. On November 10th, Judge Licelot Casado will decide whether Ross leaves the Najayo-Hombres Correction and Rehabilitation Center and will evaluate whether parole is granted under certain conditions. Lawyer Julio Cury, representing Ross, argued for the request for release by demonstrating exemplary conduct, having completed more than 26 diplomas during his imprisonment, having passed the required psychological and psychiatric evaluations, and having economically compensated the victim with the payment of one million pesos. You can also read: Army confiscates 10,000 contraband cigarettes
According to Ross's defense, this meets the legal requirements to opt for a special conditional release, and also criticized the insistence on the presence of the victim's parents in the follow-up process, recalling that the young woman is already of legal age and it is she who must attend the freedom request hearing.
