Tokyo.- All Nippon Airways (ANA), one of Japan's two major airlines, canceled 65 domestic flights to perform the software update needed on its Airbus A320 aircraft, after risks were found for the flight control system due to solar radiation, leaving around 9,400 people affected.
The announced cancellations affected 34 of the Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft in the fleet of the Japanese airline, which asked its passengers to check its website for the updated status of the flights.
The necessary computer update takes approximately four hours per aircraft and will be carried out sequentially.
