The works, which involve an investment exceeding RD$8.3 million, are part of an intensive plan of expansion and improvements of electrical networks and infrastructure that Edesur Dominicana is developing in the short term and that seeks to reduce the risks of overloads and interruptions for the period of greatest demand for electricity, next summer.
With the strengthening of this infrastructure, nearby substations such as: Los Prados, Embajador, Arroyo Hondo and Metropolitano will benefit, by allowing a significant reduction in their demands.
Among the sectors benefiting from the accommodation of the second transformation field are the expansions Paraíso, Piantini, Julieta Morales and Carmelita, La Aldaba, Reparto Universitario, Yolanda Morales, Serrallés, Las Villas and Urbanización Fernández.
