Santo Domingo. - The search for the girl Briana Genao González has been extended by land, along the rivers of the surroundings, and by air. Eight drones of different sizes, operated by the Remote Piloted Aircraft Division of the National Emergency and Security System 911, are flying over key areas of the Barrero sector in the municipality of Guananico, in Puerto Plata, as part of the technical operation deployed to locate the missing minor.
Unmanned aircraft have a flight autonomy of between 40 and 50 minutes, equipped with thermal cameras, laser sensors and georeferenced positioning systems with millimeter precision, which allows identifying minimal variations in the terrain. The system's margin of error is just four centimeters, according to technical data provided by the unit.
The aerial operation covers an approximate quadrant of between three and 4 kilometers around, with flights that are carried out at a height of between 300 and 400 feet, some of them simultaneously. The drones used include Matriz 400 models from the DJI brand, capable of sustaining prolonged missions and transmitting information in real time to command centers.

The unit is made up of four certified operators, two specialized technicians, and support staff, all licensed by the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC). Each drone has two batteries, which are completely depleted on each mission to maximize effective search time. Together, the team has accumulated more than eight hours of flight time within this operation.
Operations Center
The team has a Vans-type vehicle that is used as an operations center, where the drone batteries are charged, the different equipment is stored, and the images are processed on the ground. The images captured, after being analyzed by human teams, are processed with the support of artificial intelligence software created by the technicians of the 911 system with funding from the United States Embassy, and is used as a support tool for human analysis and which allows integrating thermal, visual and geospatial data in real time.Internet
To ensure connectivity in hard-to-reach areas, the system operates with Starlink satellite internet, in addition to a telephone fleet that allows constant coordination with ground teams.Operating Time
