Gloria Reyes is appointed Minister of Women

Santo Domingo.- The Executive Branch informs that, in compliance with current legal and administrative provisions, Gloria Reyes has been appointed as Minister of Women, a position from which she will assume the responsibility of leading public policies aimed at promoting gender equality, protecting women's rights, and preventing gender-based violence throughout the national territory.

The new Minister has a solid background in public management and social development initiatives, having previously held leadership positions in social protection and citizen participation programs. Her appointment reaffirms the Government's commitment to gender equality and social inclusion.

The Ministry of Women, under the direction of Gloria Rosely Reyes Gómez, will continue to promote strategic actions to guarantee the well-being, safety, and active participation of all Dominican women in the economic, social, and political life of the country.
