New executive vice presidents appointed for AFI Reservas e Inversiones and Reservas

The Boards of Directors of the Investment Fund Administrator (AFI Reservas) and Inversiones y Reservas appointed Leandro Villanueva and Pedro Bienvenido Galán Flaquer as new executive vice presidents of those entities, respectively.

When offering the information, the CEO of Banreservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, who also chairs both Councils, stated that these appointments strengthen the synergy of the Reservas group and add strategic value to its subsidiaries.

"I am convinced of Leandro and Pedro's ability and professionalism to lead these entities and take them to higher levels of efficiency and excellence, for the benefit of the thousands of clients who trust the Banreservas brand," Aguilera expressed.

The executive emphasized that Banreservas and its subsidiaries play a key role in the country's economic development, by supporting the various productive sectors, generating jobs, and creating value.

Academic background and experience

Leandro Villanueva studied Business Administration (Finance and Risks) at St. Mary’s University, in the United States, and holds an MBA from the University of Miami.

With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, investments, real estate development, and regulatory field. He served as Executive Vice President of Subsidiaries Reservas and is a specialist in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic negotiation, risk analysis, and policy design. He has led organizational transformation processes and large-scale corporate transactions.

Pedro Bienvenido Galán Flaquer holds a degree in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), a master's degree in Corporate Finance from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), and a specialization in General Management from Barna Management School.

With over 15 years of experience in the Dominican financial system, specializing in treasury, capital markets, and portfolio management. He is distinguished by his strategic vision, analytical discipline, and ability to lead teams in high-demand environments.
