Los Mina sum their third consecutive victory and take the first place

SANTO DOMINGO, RD. – Los Mina club continues in great form by stringing together its third consecutive victory after winning with authority 87-67 over the Loros Calientes, in the day of the X Superior Basketball Tournament of the Santo Domingo Province.

After falling in its debut, the mining team has reacted with three consecutive victories, which allows it to climb to the top of Group A, where it shares the lead with the Calero club of Villa Duarte, both with a record of 3-1. Meanwhile, Loros remains without victories with a record of 0-4. The match was played at the sports center of the Deportivo Ozama club, in Santo Domingo Este, in a tournament dedicated to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader.

Vegan reinforcement Jerry Flores led the offense with 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists. He was backed by Yasuel Batista, who recorded a double-double of 15 units and 11 rebounds, while José Familia contributed 13 points. The event is organized by the committee headed by Ángel De la Cruz, along with William Cabral Lugo, president of the Santo Domingo Basketball Association (Abasado). The technical direction is in charge of Ramón Ceballos and Maikel Rodríguez. The tournament is backed by the Ministry of Sports, led by Kelvin Cruz, as well as the company Seaboard “Clean Energy” and Fernando Geraldino.
