Washington/Miami.- The third day of protests by the 'No Kings' movement began this Saturday in the United States, where organizers predict more than 3,300 demonstrations, the largest mobilization so far against President Donald Trump, the war in Iran and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The coalition of some 400 groups, such as Amnesty International, Indivisible, unions, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), anticipates surpassing the previous two editions, the one with 7 million attendees and 2,700 events last October, and the one with 5 million protesters in 2,100 locations in June 2025. The marches, in the 50 states of the country, condemn the "authoritarianism" they perceive in President Trump's second term, particularly for the alleged abuses of ICE and immigration operations, which in January resulted in the death of two U.S. citizens in Minnesota.

Rejection of the «illegal war» in Iran

Also, the 'No Kings' protests will focus on repudiating Trump's 'illegal war' in Iran, which just this Saturday marks one month.

«Americans are fed up with this constant chaos, and are ready to unite in solidarity against the excessive and atrocious acts of the Trump Administration against working families and immigrants», the coalition stated in a statement before the march.

The main gathering was scheduled for 2:00 PM Central Time (7:00 PM GMT) in Minnesota, where ICE and the Border Patrol killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two U.S. citizens, in January, which heightened national outrage against Trump's immigration operations. In Minneapolis, the largest city in that state, the participation of progressive senator Bernie Sanders, actress Jane Fonda and leaders of the country's largest unions, such as Liz Schuler, president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), is expected. The demonstrations occur while disapproval of Trump reaches its highest level of his two terms, as 59% of Americans disapprove of his management, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.
