Moca Heroes crush Santo Domingo Lions with total dominance

Santo Domingo. – Los Héroes de Moca imposed their game rhythm and convincingly defeated 102-85 to the Leones de Santo Domingo in a match corresponding to the Super Liga LNB, held in the sports center of the San Carlos club.

The Mocano team relied on an intense defense that caused 23 turnovers by the capital team —18 of them in the first half—, a key factor in securing their second win of the season (2-3), while the Leones fell to 1-4. John Clark Jr. led the Heroes' offense with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists, accompanied by Caleb Huffman, who contributed 18 units. Jayson Valdez was also decisive with eight points, 10 assists, and six steals. For the Leones, Reggie Quezada scored 17 points, although he lost eight balls, while Gerardo Suero added 16 points and eight rebounds. The Heroes set the pace from the first quarter and extended their lead in the second period, dominating by up to 20 points before halftime. Their defensive pressure resulted in multiple steals and fast-break baskets. Although the Lions tried to react in the third quarter, reducing the difference to 12 points, the mocanos maintained control of the match and secured the victory without major setbacks in the final stretch. On the Sunday day, the Cañeros del Este will receive the Marineros de Puerto Plata, while the Titanes del Sur will face the Soles del Este in San Cristóbal.
