Santo Domingo.– The Teacher Performance Evaluation process will continue this Thursday, April 30, with the beginning of its sixth phase, focused on class observation and planning, according to the National Steering Commission in charge of the program.
The entity explained that the fifth stage, which had been suspended due to technical inconveniences on the digital platform, will be rescheduled for the first week of June, once the ongoing phases are completed.
According to the educational authorities, the decision responds to adjustments made in the technological system used for the evaluation, with the aim of ensuring greater stability, efficiency, and continuity in the process.
The Ministry of Education (Minerd) and the organizations that make up the commission, including the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) and the National Association of Education Professionals and Technicians (Anproted), indicated that the detected failures were corrected after optimization tests.
Authorities also reported that the Professional Performance Evaluation, corresponding to the suspended phase, will be applied once the sixth stage is completed, incorporating technical improvements to the system.

The evaluation process has involved more than 115,000 teachers nationwide and shows progress close to 95%, with the application of hundreds of thousands of instruments in the stages already completed.
The Minerd reiterated that this evaluation is part of an educational policy aimed at strengthening the quality of the education system and the development of the teaching career in the country.
Likewise, the commission urged educators to participate in the pending stages, ensuring that the process is carried out under criteria of transparency, equity, and respect for the rights of teachers.
The National Governing Commission is chaired by the Minister of Education and is made up of representatives from the education sector, who oversee the execution and monitoring of the evaluation process.
