February 27th Corridor surpasses 16,000 daily passengers in six days

Santo Domingo.- The 27 de Febrero Corridor, operated by the Operadora Metropolitana de Servicios de Autobuses (OMSA), quadrupled the number of users in just six days, going from 4,000 to more than 16,000 daily passengers, reported its executive vice president, Onéximo González. The official highlighted that the service maintains a bus frequency every five minutes throughout the day, which has significantly reduced waiting times for users. He also announced that adults over 65 years of age will be able to use the corridor free of charge, as part of a direct subsidy to this segment of the population.

As part of the improvements, González reported that the corridor will be integrated with the route to the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), facilitating students' access to public transport. The authorities assured that these measures seek to improve the quality of service, with cleaner, more punctual, and more efficient buses.
