Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Agriculture announced this Monday the start of the ban on host products of the whitefly and thrips in San Juan, a measure that will last until November 4, with the aim of preparing the land for the planting of beans in the next season.
According to the surveys, it is projected to intervene approximately 15,000 tasks in the agricultural zone of the San Juan valley, said portfolio specified in a statement.

In the note, Juan Mateo, regional director of Agriculture, expressed his confidence that better results will be obtained this year, with healthy crops, free of pests and diseases throughout the productive area of the province of San Juan. In that regard, he urged producers to respect this provision, noting that the presence of pests affects the country's production and export capacity.
