Blood residue and bloody footprints were also detected, although no other relevant clues were found, according to engineer Gilda Peguero, from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif). The prosecutor Geraldo Ponce, who headed the delegation, specified that the investigation seeks to collect all the necessary evidence to clarify what happened. He added that the official report will be issued by the Attorney General's Office once the investigation is concluded. The incident, which occurred in La Barranquita, has generated strong questions and demands for transparency from the victims' families, who are demanding the publication of security camera recordings from the area to determine what really happened. The victims were identified as Elvis Antonio Jiménez Rodríguez (26), Julio Alberto Gómez (28), José Vladimir Valerio Estévez (25), Edward Bernardo Peña Rodríguez (35) and Carlos Enrique Guzmán Navarro (40). The Police reported that in the alleged exchange an agent was injured. The case has caused outrage in different sectors of Santiago, where the official version is questioned and it is demanded that the investigations reach the ultimate consequences to prevent this episode from going unpunished.
