Santo Domingo.- The Fourth Collegiate Tribunal of Santiago sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for acting in complicity with another to shoot a young man to death in January of last year, as announced by the Public Ministry this Wednesday.
The sentence was imposed on Yoan Carlos Rosario Martínez (alias Mañeco) for complicity in the murder of Javier Yudary Luciano Colón (alias el Lápiz).You may be interested in: Fifteen people sentenced for trafficking Haitians
According to the indictment, the accused, armed with pistols, arrived at the residence where the victim was located and after pointing guns at those present, to impose terror, entered the house and pursued Luciano Colón until they reached him in a room where they shot him repeatedly, causing his death. People who witnessed the events offered testimonies that the condemned man was shouting at his companion to kill the victim, according to a statement from the Public Ministry. In the scene, the authorities collected numerous pieces of evidence, including five shell casings for a 9-millimeter firearm, as well as a projectile for a firearm.
