Santo Domingo.- The executive director of the Office for Transportation Reorganization (OPRET), Jhael Isa Tavarez, informed that the service of the Santo Domingo Metro and the Santo Domingo Cable Car was restored during peak hours, after the interruption caused by fluctuations in the electrical system.
As explained by the official, the service will be free until the end of the day while the normalization of the electrical system is completed, with the purpose of facilitating the displacement of users affected by the temporary suspension.

He indicated that operations were resumed after conducting circulation tests and technical verifications to ensure that variations in the electrical load do not compromise passenger safety. Likewise, it was pointed out that the scheduled stop before rush hour was executed as a preventive measure, with the aim of ensuring that the system operates under safe and controlled conditions.
