Santo Domingo Este. – The Santo Domingo Este City Hall celebrated National Bible Day this Monday with an event held at the Iglesia Bautista del Ozama, located in the Coral Mall.

“More than a religious instrument, the Bible is also a patriotic instrument. Our flag reflects this, and that is why as a Christian people we must continue to promote these types of activities that give us clear guidelines on how the coexistence of a normal human being should be,” said the mayor. He also emphasized that the Bible offers principles on family and marriage, values that contribute to the construction of a more balanced society. The mayor concluded by highlighting that this type of commemoration "transcends the religious to become a patriotic commitment", strengthening national identity and reaffirming the Christian values of the Dominican Republic.
