San Juan, Puerto Rico.- The Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico, was once again shaken with the euphoria, the Bad Bunny fever and the Puerto Rican pride, in the fifth presentation out of thirty that the global music star will have in his native Puerto Rico, within the framework of his residency “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí”, at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, also known as “El Choli”.
The experience of Bad Bunny's residency in Puerto Rico is more than going to a concert; it's an expression of pride, which takes you to delve into the deepest and most valuable of the beautiful "Island of Enchantment", evidenced in the imposing stage, in the visual effects, in the instrumentation of dancers, musicians and even the artist himself, who narrate through each song and genres such as reggaeton, salsa, plena and bomba, the "most badass of being Puerto Rican". But also, experience takes more strength in the visible exposure from the initial point of the show to the betrayals of Puerto Rico, highlighting Puerto Rican dance and its traditional genres. The exciting fifth presentation of the performer of "Unforgettable Journey" began at 9:02pm to the rhythm of "Barbed Wire," one of the songs from his most recent album "I Should Have Taken More Photos," where the artist expresses the internal battle he felt when letting go of someone he desired, overflowing from the beginning of the concert with euphoria, adrenaline, and a lot of Puerto Rican pride, in the more than 18,000 fans present in the venue. "Barbed wire," performed alongside a group of plena musicians and folk dancers, marked the beginning of what would be "An Unforgettable Journey," filled with energy, emotion, and a lot of strength in which "The Bad Bunny" connected with thousands of fans from Puerto Rico and all of Latin America, who began to sing along with great passion to his lyrics. Subsequently, Bad Bunny sang other acclaimed songs in which he mentions, "KETU TeCRÉ", merging in this interpretation his essence and love for reggaeton with plena, in a musically enriched version that was enjoyed by the attendees. Other hits by the artist such as “EL CLUB”, were performed in unison by all the fans, igniting “El Choli”, and giving continuity to the great night, allowing a special connection between Benito and his thousands of fans, to whom he thanked for their love, support, and inspiration. "Thanks to you, thanks for the support, thanks for the affection, thanks for the inspiration, for the muse; I should have taken more photos, it means we must live in the moment and that's what we are doing here," expressed Bad Bunny to his thousands of fans. "La Santa," one of Bad Bunny's most successful collaborations with Daddy Yankee, released in 2020, paused for a moment the continuity of songs from his recent album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," which inspires this local residency, to sing other songs that have been important in his musical discography. "PIToRRO DE COCO", one of his most recent releases, which bears the name of an emblematic drink from Puerto Rican Christmas traditions, emanated great emotions in the attendees due to the depth of the lyrics and the nostalgia that the sound of the guitar brought to the ear, as this is a musical piece that delves into themes of loneliness and nostalgia during the festive season, that was felt in "El Choli".“The Blackout” lit up “El Choli”
One of the most impressive moments of the night was the performance of "El Apagón", a song inspired by the problems that the Puerto Rican electrical grid has faced over time, turning off all the lights in the Coliseum to simulate the vibes and visual effect of the song's lyrics. At one point in the song, the Colosseum turned into a giant disco, where those present jumped euphorically while shouting the lyrics of the song. From the album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos", which inspires the residency "No me quiero ir de aquí", which has 30 confirmed concerts starting July 11th and running until September 14th, the following songs were also performed: KLOuFRENS, BOKeTE, TURiSTA, NEVERITA, VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR, VeLDÁ, CAFÉ CON RON, BAILE INoLVIDABLE, among others.
