Santiago, R.D.– Elvis Martínez starred in two historic nights with his show “Un Camarón en la Arena”, held on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 at the Gran Arena del Cibao, achieving a double “sold out” and establishing himself as one of the great exponents of Dominican bachata.
The artist took the stage in the midst of an impressive production, accompanied by luxury guests such as Prince Royce, Wason Brazobán, Raúlín Rodríguez "El Cacique", La Perversa, Shelow Shaq, Jey One, Nio García from Puerto Rico, Urbanda and DJ Carlitos. During both performances, Elvis overflowed with energy, emotions, and nostalgia, performing a wide repertoire of hits spanning more than two decades of his career. The artistic production, directed by Alberto Zayas, included giant screens, a professional dance troupe, and an immersive stage design, in which the artist emerged from the center of the stage, unleashing the euphoria of the audience. The concert kicked off with a guitar solo that led to “You dancing with him”, followed by songs like “I'm going to love you” and “Laudano”. Martínez paused to thank the audience:“Thank you Santiago and thank you Dominican Republic for joining me in making history on a unique and unforgettable night for all of us”, he expressed with emotion. The evening continued with songs like "I give it all for you", "Bigger than him" and "Hypocrite", and then welcomed Wason Brazobán, with whom he performed a duet "This is how I love you", unleashing a wave of romanticism among the attendees. They followed songs like “Lleva vida”, “No te vayas” and “Tu secreto”, and a special moment where Elvis performed “Ambición” with a fan. Then he sang “Así fue”, accompanied by a mini documentary that narrated his life, from his childhood as a shoeshiner to reaching stardom. At that moment, he sent a message of hope, highlighting the importance of work and perseverance. One of the emotional peaks was the interpretation of “Maestra”, followed by the entrance of Raulín Rodríguez, with whom she sang “Llorarás” and, on Friday night, also “Dame corazón”, “Su novio primero”, “Medicina de amor”, “Esta noche” and the iconic “Nereyda”. The intensity continued with songs like "You know well", "Love fable", "Poor friend", "Three words" and "Endless suffering", until Prince Royce took the stage to perform the song "Veterana" with Elvis. The audience enthusiastically celebrated the fusion of their romantic bachata styles. The show closed with "Directo al corazón" and a medley of great hits, including "Dile".
